Welcome to Year 1!!

We're called Foxes class!

We are going to be doing lots of exciting learning now we're in Year 1. 

This page is where you can find out more about how Year 1 works and what we are learning. 

We don't use the tapestry app/website any more, so any info will be on here or sent out by ping.

Meet the teacher session

Please see below for the songs we are learning! 

PE 

PE will be every Tuesday and Wednesday - please ensure children are wearing their PE kits on these days. We recommend a pair of long bottoms to be worn under PE shorts for the winter.

Please make sure children's hair is tied back and if they wear earrings, they are not worn on PE days, or they have tape over them. 

Routines for changing books

Reading books (book band - e.g. Pink/red/yellow) are changed

Tuesday and Thursday

  Read Write Inc books are changed by their phonics teacher at least once a week  once they have completed a series in their phonics lessons. Please make sure they are in their bags. 

Library books are changed on most Thursdays  (when timetable allows)

Due to the amount of time this takes up, we can't change their books at other times, please make sure the books are in their bags on these days
